I am Wale Sonaike
Adewale Sonaike (born 13th of March 1968) is the Deputy Managing Director, Business Development and International Business of Courteville Business Solutions PLC, a business process outsourcing and Information Technology Solutions Company. He has over three decades of professional experience spanning marketing, banking and business development. He is an entrepreneur, and a philanthropist. Alhaji Sonaike as he is also called is the Chairman, Aiyepe Micro Finance Bank Ltd, Al- Fatihat Communications Nigeria Ltd, and TWS Consultants Ltd. He also sits on the board of Forster Estate Ltd, Courteville Investment (Sierra Leone) Ltd, and Courteville Global Solutions, Zimbabwe.
In the last eleven years, he had particularly carried out major market penetration for the most innovative automation business strategy revolution in the public sector with the “AutoReg” business solution developed locally for the automation of motor vehicle administration and documentation in Nigeria which is currently operational in 22 states of the Federation.
Wale completed his Higher Diploma in Business Administration from Yaba College of Technology and immediately proceeded to qualify as a professional banker with the award of Associate of Banking Institute and thereafter proceeded to Olabisi Onabanjo University for his B.Sc. in Banking and Finance and thereafter earned an MBA from Ambrose Alli University Ekpoma, Edo State. He has attended numerous management courses in Process Optimization, Customer Relations, Project Management, Operational and Strategic Planning, Leadership Development and Change Management. He is a Fellow of the Professional Excellence of Nigeria (PEFON). Wale is an alumnus of the prestigious Lagos Business School and London Business School. Wale is as well a Fellow of the Chartered Institute of Bankers of Nigeria (FCIB) and Institute of Cost and Management Accountants (FCM) two prominent professional associations for financial services practitioners in Nigeria. Between 2012-2014, Wale has attended important and well known events to boost his career, from the African and Caribbean Expo, Jamaica Promotion Corporation, Trinidad and Tobago Business Expo, Revitalize Nigeria Business Summit, and the World Business Forum.
In 2015, the Nigerian Red Cross inducted him as an Associate Member in its Platinum category for his contribution to the aid of medically vulnerable individuals.
In his early career, Wale started as an intern at Nigeria Development Bank in 1991. Two years later, he joined the Republic Bank (General Banking, Operations and Marketing).
After gaining substantial experience, Wale sought new challenges and in 1996, he moved to Oceanic Bank. Over a five year career at Oceanic, he held the various senior management positions in Specialized Marketing, Lagos Public Sector and Head, Public Sector Banking Port- Harcourt at different times.
In 2000, Wale joined Metropolitan Bank Plc. (now UBA) as the Head Public Sector Banking Lagos. The results he achieved, earned him promotion to Branch Manager, Victoria Island Head Office Branch, Branch Manager, Abuja, and later, Regional Head, Commercial Banking, Lagos and later joined the First City Monument Bank as Group Head, Public Sector Lagos.
By November 2006, after almost fifteen years of successfully handling increasing responsibilities in different organizations, Wale joined Courteville Investment Limited to offer corporate finance services and business process reengineering consulting to organizations. Wale was instrumental to the birth of the AutoReg Franchise which is responsible for the automation of Motor Vehicle Administration and Documentation and has seen it grow from one State at inception to 22 States of the Federation.
Wale is an incurable optimist, who has doggedly pushed the AutoReg brand to an acceptable level in the Nigerian market place and becoming a dominant player in the e-business solution services for the public sector business in Nigeria.
He has maintained an approachable, community friendly image, promoting brand message through speaking engagements,
charitable activities, religious activities and relationships with media sources such as the Nigerian Police Force, Lagos State Motor Vehicle Administration Agency, Muslim Student Society of Nigeria, Odogbolu Muslim Community, Akoka Central Mosque Community, Rhythm FM Radio Station and Punch Newspaper.
Wale is a mentor to a whole lot of young professionals and has demonstrated vast knowledge on e-commerce, entrepreneurship, leadership and business fields in which he has been called to speak.
Wale holds the titles of Asiwaju Musulumi of Odogbolu and Chairman of Odogbolu Muslim Community respectively.
He is happily married to his heartthrob and blessed with lovely children.
